Can we create conversion tracking in both Google Analytics and Google Ads? Yes. Absolutely. And you should just import conversions from analytics, which is good. Is there any risk of double-tracking? Yeah. So if you are, I would say set up analytics or GFO, and import them into Google Ads. Set it up as secondary, not primary. Because if there are any problems, then at least you can see in Google Ads that there's something wrong if the conversions drop or have a spike or something.
I'm not saying Spiking is a problem, but if there’s something that is not normal, then you have two sets of data to look at. Because if the Google Ads tracking is not working and analytics is, then at least you can compare the two. But just make sure that don't freak out if they don't match. Because there will always be some kind of discrepancy between analytics and Google Ads. So yes, I would highly recommend that you do that.
