How Will The Growth Of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impact Marketers In The Future?

Will the growth of artificial intelligence affect marketers in the future? That's a great and interesting question. Thank you. Chathresh, it's kind of like looking at the first iPhone. I remember it since I'm old enough. Some of you may not be that old, but when the first version of the iPhone came out, we were blown away. "Oh my God, there are no buttons on it! It's all touch screen and has apps in it!" I can't remember if it had a camera or not. I think it was the second or the third iPhone that had a camera, but it was completely different. However, now we're on iPhone 14, and when we look back at the first one, it's like it didn't do anything. It didn't have much memory, processing power, or speed, and the battery life wasn't long enough. It died after every few hours or whatever. This is just the beginning of AI and machine learning, and compared to a few months ago, campaigns on smart bidding are performing a lot better than they were last year, and it's going to keep on improving.

It will have an effect because with the Performance Max campaigns coming in, you won't even need to know what a phrase match, exact match, or negative keyword is, and so on. But what you will need to be more creative about are the creatives, the ads, the images, the videos, the text, all of these. And this is what you will need to keep throwing at Google so the machine can learn, test, and optimize. Someone who just sets it and forgets it won't get the performance. As a marketer, we also have to evolve our skill set and not just look at keywords and ads on the Google Ads interface. We need to think outside the box and be more creative in how we target audiences. It's going to be very interesting in the next 12 to 18 months because I'm one of those who believe that keywords are going to go away eventually. So, let's see where we end up. But yes, it will affect many marketers, and those who don't commit to evolving and moving on with the times will be out of business for sure.
