New Google Ads Update: Sports Betting Ads In Florida No Longer Allowed

As per the new update from Google Ads, users will not have the option to promote their sports betting ads or services via the Google Ads platform in Florida. This change is already in place from the 24th of November 2021. The announcement by Google was that “the gambling and the ad policy of Google Ads specifically for the United States will disable placing any sports betting ads in Florida.” These changes were in accordance with the Washington D.C. federal court’s ruling. The ruling invalidates the Florida-Seminole Tribal Gaming Compact, which makes sports betting will be classified as illegal in Florida. As a result, the company is disallowing any ads relating to sports betting in the state of Florida. The company has already begun the enforcement of this ban from the 24th of November 2021. Google Ads Sitelink Extensions Best Practices

Sitelinks make your ads look bigger, increase your ad rank and click-through rate. So you want to be using sitelinks with your ads. So to create one you go to ads and extensions then extensions. Click the plus button. Select sitelink. Now you can set this up at account level, campaign ad group level. If you are a small to medium-size business and you don't have multiple locations or anything like that. I would recommend you just set it up at account levels. You don't need to keep you redoing these again over and over again. You want to put in at least 6 sitelinks because at any one time Google can show a maximum of up to 4 sitelinks. So if you got more than 4 then Google has got the option to showcase the best sitelink for that ad. How To Create Responsive Search Ads

Here's how you set up a responsive search ad. Go to ads. Click the plus button. Responsive search ad. Enter your final URL. Put the keywords in path one and part two to optimize the ad. You got 15 headlines. You should try and enter as many as you can. Ideally all 15 and 4 description lines. Headlines have got a character limit of 30 characters and descriptions have got 90. Once you've done all of them ideally you want to have ad strength to be excellent and all of these four boxes to be checked in with green color. You can put a variety of images. Also, put in a video if you can. You got 5 headlines for up to 30 characters each. One long headline for 90 descriptions, 5 descriptions up to 90 characters each put in your business name. You want the ad strength to be excellent and all these four assets to be checked off in green and over here you can see how your ads by going into the different preview modes either on the desktop or on the mobile.
